Senior Product Engineer

Location: London

Working arrangement: On-site

About the Company

We are working with an early-stage, high-growth fintech building technology to transform how financial advice is delivered.

The financial advice and wealth management industry is large and increasingly technology-driven, yet much of the infrastructure used by advisers remains fragmented, manual and highly dependent on legacy systems.

The company is building a new generation of productivity, compliance and advice technology, combining modern product engineering with deep expertise in financial services and regulation.

Your Role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will own significant customer-facing product areas across web and mobile, taking problems from initial ambiguity through to production.

You will work closely with users, domain experts, designers and product leaders to understand the underlying problem, determine the right product approach and build the solution.

You will not wait for every decision to be translated into a detailed specification. Instead, you will use customer evidence, product data and technical judgement to make trade-offs and move work forward.

You will also contribute to frontend architecture and shared engineering foundations, helping ensure that client-facing products remain coherent and scalable as the company grows.

You will:

  • Own meaningful customer-facing workflows from initial scope through to production
  • Turn ambiguous customer problems into clear product and technical approaches
  • Build across frontend, backend and AI layers where required
  • Contribute to frontend architecture and reusable product foundations
  • Make evidence-led product trade-offs without waiting for complete specifications
  • Maintain a high bar for performance, accessibility and interaction quality
  • Uphold and improve engineering standards across code, review, testing and release
  • Investigate production issues and feed findings back into product development
  • Lead technical decisions within your product area
  • Contribute to broader engineering and product decisions
  • Mentor engineers and strengthen product engineering practices
  • Help assess and hire strong product-minded engineers
  • Turn complex financial and regulatory workflows into simple, durable products

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
