Job Description
You will report to the Director of Product Engineering, owning features end-to-end to ensure fire protection compliance and traceability. By partnering with product and design, you’ll build intuitive tools that raise safety standards for buildings across the UK, moving from user pain points to shipped code across the entire stack.

What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end development of new features, handling everything from UI and application logic to database layers, observability, and automated testing strategies.
- Partner directly with product managers, designers, and customers to understand user pain points and translate them into high-impact technical solutions that work in the field.
- Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar by implementing best practices in RESTful API design, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering workflows using AI tools.

The ideal candidate
- Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with the ability to navigate both MongoDB and SQL database environments effectively to build scalable B2B SaaS products.
- Strong background in building distributed systems and modern DevOps practices including AWS, Terraform, message queues, and automated monitoring/observability tools.
- Product-minded engineer who values user impact over just writing code, ideally with experience in growth-stage startups and a desire to work in a hybrid Canary Wharf office.
