This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Engineer - Supply Team based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to build foundational technology that transforms how businesses operate within the global travel ecosystem.
- You will work on complex product challenges involving marketplaces, pricing systems, supplier networks, and scalable infrastructure.

Accountabilities
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and scaling core product capabilities while contributing to engineering excellence across the organization.
- Lead the full development lifecycle of product features, from understanding user needs and shaping solutions to architecture, implementation, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Build and improve systems supporting pricing, supplier management, product catalogs, partner relationships, commissions, and marketplace functionality.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to identify customer problems, evaluate opportunities, and make informed decisions about what should be built.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable frontend and backend solutions using modern technologies, including TypeScript, React, and backend frameworks or languages.
- Design resilient applications with strong monitoring, reliability, and scalability practices while participating in incident response and production ownership.
- Contribute to engineering standards, technical decision-making, and best practices across the team.
- Mentor other engineers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, code reviews, and support for professional growth.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is a senior full-stack engineer with strong product instincts, experience building scalable applications, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with full-stack development experience and strong ownership of product outcomes.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, including ownership of significant frontend applications or product areas.
- Solid backend engineering experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java/Kotlin, .NET, Node.js/TypeScript, or Ruby.
- Experience building and launching new products or major features in startup or scale-up environments, from early stages through growth.
- Broad technical experience across frontend, backend, distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience operating production systems, including monitoring, alerting, reliability improvements, and on-call responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating in multicultural and distributed teams.
- Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction.
- Familiarity with AI development tools and assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, marketplaces, payments, travel technology, B2B2C platforms, or AI-enabled applications is considered a plus.
