About the firm
One in three property transactions fail. Complaints are 3x higher than any other legal sector. This firm is rebuilding a foundational, broken industry: residential property law. They're not a tooling vendor. They're a regulated law firm, built AI-native from the ground up. Founded by an experienced operator with a track record of scaling successful ventures, they're backed by leading investors and in late-stage seed discussions.
The Opportunity
You'll join as an early Senior Product Engineer. This isn't a role where you execute a handed-down backlog. You'll define it. You'll talk to users, form hypotheses, and iterate to ship features within your first week. You'll work directly with the two founding engineers and report to the founder, shaping product direction from day one. This is a generalist seat, not a siloed specialist role.

The work
- Define and ship product features end-to-end, from user problem to production deployment, often within days.
- Own the product roadmap. Talk to users, form hypotheses, and iterate on solutions, rather than just executing a backlog.
- Build and scale AI agents and LLM-powered systems that move beyond simple prompting to solve complex legal workflows.
- Drive the technical architecture and implementation of full-stack TypeScript projects, with a focus on backend depth.
- Work directly with founding engineers and the founder, contributing to core technical and product strategy.
What You Bring
- You've shipped product at early-stage startups, defining direction rather than just executing a backlog.
- Deep experience scaling full-stack TypeScript projects in production, with significant backend depth.
- You build and customize AI workflows, understanding the underlying mechanics beyond simple prompting.
- A user-first mindset. You translate real-world problems into technical solutions, not the other way around.
- You thrive on ownership that isn't defined by title, in a small, autonomous team.
