TrustedHousesitters is a fast-growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel. We’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, their owners, and the global community that cares for them.
We’ve created a trusted platform where pet owners and house sitters connect, keeping pets happy at home when their humans travel.
Who We Are
- Global community: Members in over 140 countries.
- Growing team: 100+ people.
- Bigger vision: Aim to grow to 1 million members and become the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.
Currently, a house sit starts every two minutes worldwide. We want to scale this to every minute by bringing the right people into the right roles.
The Role: Part Analyst, Part Growth Strategist, Full Owner
Fifty million potential members in the UK and US mean massive opportunities for growth—every day, 40,000 visit us. How trusting and effective our onboarding process is is our biggest analytical challenge, which you’ll be central to shaping.
What You’ll Do
- Own the analytics for our new member revenue squads:
- Track acquisition, conversion, activation.
- Identify what’s growing (or blocking) membership sign-ups.
- Spot opportunities in the data before they’re even asked.
- Use insights to shape product decisions, not just report findings.
- Lead feature instrumentation:
- Define success and guardrail metrics before launch—not after.
- Design and execute experiments:
- Hypothesis → deployment → data-driven decisions.
- Set high standards for experimentation across teams.
- Build self-service analytics tools:
- Offer dashboards and reports so stakeholders can answer their own questions.
- Be the voice of analytics:
- Question assumptions in commercial and product discussions.
- Deliver confident, data-backed insights.
- Teach others:
- Mentor analysts in SQL, experimentation, and data storytelling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Industry focus: Experience in subscription, marketplace, SaaS, or platform analytics.
- End-to-end ownership: Goal-scoped analysis from start to finish.
- Technical proficiency:
- Advanced SQL (expect you to solve challenges without excessive documentation).
- dbt experience is a bonus.
- Experiment expertise:
- Hypothesis design, A/B and multivariate testing, statistical interpretation.
- Hands-on experience, not just theoretical knowledge.
- Metric fluency:
- Conversion, activation, churn—linking analytics to business impact.
- Crossover communication:
- Translate data to product managers, CFOs, or regulators with equal clarity.
- Product intuition:
- Not just validating ideas—generating and testing growth strategies.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with event tracking platforms (Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
- Python/R for advanced modelling/automation.
- AI integration: Experience actually transforming workflows (not just playing with tools).
Identity Fit: Ask Yourself Before Applying
❌ You’ll thrive:
- If questions are handed to you.
- If experimentation feels like a prescribed process to follow.
- In environments with fixed roadmaps.
🚀 "That’s not me—but I adapt?" Maybe! Apply only if this sounds like a chance to grow. We’ll take your intentional mismatch as a sign of curiosity.
Why Not Apply?
- If you avoid driving growth initiatives and only answer given problems.
- If you dislike pushing back on weak experiments or mentoring others.
