Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Product Integrity Manager, this role will focus on Product Safety, Environmental and Security aspects of Weapon Systems. In this role you will provide specialist Product Integrity knowledge to project teams involved in the development of military equipment and/or any associated sub-systems or services. The role works closely with the Weapon Systems Design Team on new and existing Products, through all stages of the products lifecycle: from the initial concept; design through to final manufacture and implementation.
Core Duties
- Lead Product Integrity activities across Product Safety, Environmental and Security disciplines throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacture, delivery and support
- Support the development and implementation of Product Integrity strategies and plans to ensure compliance with contractual, customer, regulatory and legal requirements, while achieving programme objectives
- Conduct Product Integrity assessments and risk analyses, including hazard identification, safety studies and maintenance of hazard and risk management records using recognised methodologies and tools
- Provide specialist technical advice and assurance to project teams, customers, suppliers and stakeholders, supporting design reviews, audits, decision-making and resolution of Product Integrity issues
- Prepare and maintain Product Integrity documentation and governance, including management plans, safety and environmental reports, compliance evidence, review outputs and continuous improvement activities

Essential skills
- Demonstrable experience in Product Safety and Product Integrity engineering.
- Proficiency in hazard analysis techniques such as PHA, FMECA, HAZOP and FTA.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customers, providing technical guidance in your field of expertise.
- Ideally the candidate shall have a degree or HND in a relevant Engineering discipline with demonstrated/proven engineering experience.
The Product Integrity Team
The Product Integrity team sits within Weapon Systems (UK), part of BAE Systems' Platforms and Services sector. The team supports the design, development, manufacture and in-service support of artillery systems and naval guns, working within a business that also provides engineering capability across the wider BAE Systems organisation. Operating in a sector with global reach, the team contributes to delivering trusted and affordable weapon system solutions that meet critical customer needs across air, land and maritime domains. Through a focus on innovation, commitment and engineering excellence, the team helps shape the future capability of Weapon Systems (UK).
