Senior Product Journey Owner – Business Banking (Run My Business)
The Senior Product Journey Owner – Business Banking leads the end-to-end journeys that enable customers to run their businesses efficiently across digital, branch and assisted channels. The role ensures experiences are simple, effective, compliant, and aligned to business strategy.
You’ll provide clear direction to cross-functional teams including:
- Products
- Technology
- Operations
- Service design
- Risk
- Legal
- Change
Balancing customer needs with commercial, operational, and regulatory priorities, you’ll define ambitious ‘front-stage’ (customer) and ‘back-stage’ (colleague) experiences and outcomes. By leveraging data and insights, you’ll continuously improve performance while shaping truly differential experiences.
About the Role
This role sits within the Business Banking function, responsible for supporting businesses—large and small—across the UK. As a new position, you’ll work collaboratively across Business Banking (and beyond) to:
- Lead journey-led thinking and action
- Move beyond standard banking
- Deliver subtle yet empowering experiences for Nationwide Business owners
- Enable more effective ‘Run my Business’ capabilities

Responsibilities
- Define and refine customer and colleague experiences to improve efficiency and compliance
- Work cross-functionally to bridge gaps between teams and align on strategy
- Use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and track performance
- Forecast and plan future-proof journey improvements that set Nationwide apart
- Engage with operations, technology, and service teams to ensure seamless execution
- Ensure regulatory and legal alignment in all customer journeys
Requirements
- Strong product ownership experience, ideally in finance or banking
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end journeys and driving commercial performance
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs while maintaining strategic alignment
- Aptitude for interpreting and leveraging customer insights, data, and analytics
- Experience collaborating across mixed functional teams (technology, operations, risk, etc.)
- Comfortable with regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to dynamic priorities
