Senior Product Owner – Business Banking

About the Role

The Senior Product Owner – Business Banking leads the strategy, evolution, and end-to-end performance of key digitally-led servicing journeys across Virgin Money Business Banking (now part of Nationwide).

You’ll provide clear leadership to cross-functional teams across product, technology, operations, service design, risk, legal, fraud, financial crime, change, and third-party partners. Accountable for shaping the digital business banking customer experience, you’ll leverage:

  • Customer insight
  • Performance data
  • Market intelligence
  • Service design thinking

This ensures continuous improvement of digital servicing outcomes while contributing to the future of Business Banking.

We’re seeking a passionate Senior Product Owner to drive brilliant digital servicing experiences, enhance end-to-end customer journeys, and evolve strategy—all within our Business Digital Propositions and CX Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a vital role within the digital Business Banking team, collaborating with technology, business partners, and colleagues to:

    • Set strategic direction for digital servicing interactions (e.g., Virgin Money Business app, Business Internet Banking, Business Brochureware)
    • Define and evolve the digital servicing roadmap
    • Shape future-ready digital experiences
  • Lead customer-centric initiatives to improve:

    • Digital self-service
    • Scalability
    • Resilience
    • Regulatory adherence
    • Customer growth, retention, and personalisation
  • Drive business impact through continuous innovation that deepens customer relationships.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Flexible & Hybrid Working: Supported wherever possible. Aim for at least two days per week (or 40% if part-time) based in either London or Northampton.
  • If nearest to Glasgow or Edinburgh, monthly in-person collaboration events (office-based otherwise).
