Job Title: Senior Product Manager (Discovery), known internally as Product Creator - Fitness Tech
Location: North West (Hybrid, around 1 day in the office per week)
Salary: £65k-£80kpa
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the Role
Our client is a venture-backed wellness technology business building a platform that connects businesses across the fitness and wellness sector. The first build is for a large UK gym group, with more operators lined up behind it, and the aim is to prove the platform before launching it publicly.
They call this role Product Creator because the job is to make things, not manage a backlog. You won't write Jira tickets or acceptance criteria. You will work directly with customers, decide which problems are worth solving, and turn that into high-fidelity prototypes the engineering team builds from. You will report to the Chief Product Officer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
It's an early-stage role. It suits someone who goes and finds the problem rather than waiting to be handed one, and who already uses AI tools as a normal part of their work.
Tools
- Prototyping: Claude Design and other AI tools, rather than Figma
- Data: your own queries and analysis, without waiting on an analyst
- Collaboration: working day to day with engineering, design and the client's customers
Responsibilities
- Run discovery with customers to find the problems that matter most to them.
- Prioritise what the team works on next, based on evidence rather than opinion.
- Build high-fidelity prototypes that act as the requirements for engineering, then fill in the gaps with the team.
- Test ideas quickly and stop the ones the evidence doesn't support.
- Track whether what ships actually moves the numbers it was meant to.
- Work across several customer accounts at once, finding the overlap so one build serves more than one operator.
- Talk confidently with the business about revenue, cost and risk.
