Senior Product Manager

You'll decide what we build and why, and you'll be close enough to the work to prototype it yourself.

You'll sit at the centre of the business, working across every function and directly with customers, reporting to the CEO.

We don't hold ten meetings to change a button. In June we heard a customer insight; by August, the product we built from it accounted for 25% of all usage. This role is where that pace comes from.

About Claimer πŸš€

Claimer is the UK's market-leading R&D tax platform, trusted by some of the largest professional services firms and R&D tax consultancies.

We're now building a new incarnation of the company and product that significantly widens our market.

We're remote-first, and built on deep trust. That means we move fast, without drama or politics. Expectations are high, but so is autonomy and ownership, and we treat failure as part of learning.

We've raised $6 million, and AI lets us stay small while operating like a much larger team. Despite big ambitions, we intend to keep it that way.

Responsibilities 🌎

You will work alongside the CEO & CTO to own product end to end:

  • Drive product direction: Own the roadmap, deciding what we build and what we don't, with customer evidence behind every item.
  • Build customer proximity: Know our customers and product better than anyone, joining sales, onboarding and renewal conversations, and open new channels for customer insight.
  • Build and ship: Work daily with engineers from problem to release to feedback. Prototype ideas and ship small changes yourself.
  • Own AI quality: Judge whether our AI output is good enough, find where it fails, and build the pre-release checks the team relies on.
  • Take commercial ownership: Be accountable for moving key retention and revenue KPIs.
  • Expand into new markets: Shape what the product needs to become as we move beyond our current market and geography.
  • Make calculated bets: Drive our growth through a relentless cycle of forming, testing and validating hypotheses.
  • Set the pace: Push for more releases, and deeper ones.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Things we're looking for πŸ’ͺ🏼

This is a chance to own the product and growth of a company as it expands rapidly. You should want to build things yourself and be comfortable working things out as you go.

  • Owner mindset: You start things without being asked and see them through. There's little process here, so you build what's needed and don't mind replacing it when it breaks. You apply the 80/20 rule to everything, and you're at ease with significant autonomy and ambiguity.
  • Close to customers and revenue: You'd rather talk to a customer than guess, and you care how product decisions show up in sales, renewals and revenue.
  • Technical depth: You know what's possible and what it costs, or you're curious enough to find out. You can weigh up different ways of building a feature, explain the trade-offs, and earn engineers' respect for your judgement.
  • A record of shipping things that worked: You've taken something from idea to launch, it succeeded, and you can say which parts were down to you.
  • Fast learner in a regulated field: Our customers are tax experts. You don't need to know tax already, but you need to learn enough, quickly, to hold your own with a partner at an accountancy firm.
  • Equally at home with people and data: You're as comfortable running a customer workshop as digging into a dataset, and you use both to get to the real "why" behind a decision.
  • AI & tech savvy: AI is why our team is this small, and this role depends on it most. You don't need to be an engineer, but you go well beyond everyday ChatGPT use: you build prototypes, analyse data, and ship small changes yourself. You also judge AI output critically, catching plausible-but-wrong answers and testing whether changes actually help. We'll ask to see what you've built.
