Job Description Summary
The Product Manager for AI at GE Vernova plays a crucial role in the development and execution of AI-powered products that transform business processes. This role is essential to our mission of pioneering AI-driven innovation and enhancing user experiences across the enterprise.
The Product Manager will work with across GE Vernova and with the AI Portfolio Manager to identify, prioritize and build out AI products. These products (several) focus on delivering improvements and value through the lens of the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) framework, measuring the impact of AI initiatives.
Additionally, the Product Manager facilitates cross-business coordination, leveraging AI applications to drive operational improvements and foster innovation across Vernova. Expertise in AI, combined with strong business acumen, is pivotal in translating complex technical challenges into strategic opportunities that propel the organization forward. These duties extend to not only internally developed solutions, but also to external suppliers (e.g. 3rd party software).
As a GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the business’s mission to help power the energy transition. We forge the collaborations and help invent the technologies required to electrify and decarbonize for a zero-carbon future.
Representing virtually every major scientific and engineering discipline, our researchers are collaborating with GE Vernova’s businesses, the U.S. government, and more than 420 entities at the forefront of technology to execute on 150+ energy-focused projects. Collectively, these research programs and initiatives aim to solve near term technical challenges, deliver next generation product advances, and drive long term breakthrough innovation to enable more affordable, reliable, sustainable, and secure energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, engineering, and research, to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.
- Roadmap Input: Provide input, alongside the Portfolio manager, to build the product roadmaps.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, IT, and designers to ensure the development of robust AI solutions, maintaining technical rigor and introducing new methods for verifying success and identifying risks.
- User Experience: Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences by understanding and addressing user needs in AI applications.
- Cross-Business Coordination: Support the coordination of AI applications to drive improvements and innovations across Vernova.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure product performance and make informed decisions. Define and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure the success and impact of AI initiatives.
- Post-Launch Support: Monitor product performance post-launch, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to enhance value delivery.
- 3rd Party Solutions: Oversee the interjection of AI products coming from 3rd party software suppliers and determine best technology fit.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with GE/GE Vernova highly preferred.
- Business Acumen: Ability to integrate business strategy with technical initiatives.
- Leadership: Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and occasionally C-Suite executives.
- Experience building and deploying AI applications.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical skills to identify and solve risks and challenges.
- Technical Proficiency and Data-Driven Mindset
Eligibility:
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY or Cambridge, MA.

For Cambridge, MA based resources, this position includes a required three-month (hybrid) onboarding residency at the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. This immersive program allows our senior talent to establish a strong technical foundation, collaborate with our premier scientists and engineers, and align with our mission to lead the energy transition from the epicenter of our innovation hub. Travel, housing, and living stipend provided.

- Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
- For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
- Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
