As part of our continued growth, TGS | 4C is expanding its intelligence offering into new renewable technologies, including the development of a market-leading onshore wind intelligence service.
Role Purpose
The Senior Product Manager - Customer & Data Products is responsible for defining and delivering the strategy, priorities, and performance of TGS 4C's customer and data product portfolio.
Working across Product, Research, Data, Engineering, Design, Commercial, and Customer teams, the role ensures that customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives are translated into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
The role combines strategic product leadership with hands-on portfolio management, customer insight, stakeholder engagement, and capability development, ensuring the organisation delivers trusted, valuable, and commercially successful products to customers.
Key Accountabilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define and maintain the strategy for the customer and data product portfolio.
- Translate business objectives, market trends, and customer insights into clear product priorities and roadmaps.
- Evaluate opportunities for investment, enhancement, consolidation, or retirement of products and features.
- Prioritise initiatives based on customer value, commercial impact, and strategic fit.
- Ensure product decisions are evidence-based and aligned with organisational goals.
Customer Experience & Product Discovery
- Lead customer discovery activities to understand customer needs, workflows, and pain points.
- Define measurable customer and business outcomes before development begins.
- Use customer feedback, market intelligence, and product performance data to inform product decisions.
- Champion a customer-centric approach across the product lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement of user experience and customer outcomes across the portfolio.

Product Performance & Commercial Value
- Define target users, value propositions, and success measures for assigned products.
- Monitor product performance using customer, operational, and commercial metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve adoption, retention, customer satisfaction, and commercial performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure products deliver measurable business value.
- Support pricing, packaging, and proposition decisions where required.
Delivery & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Data, Research, and Design teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Balance customer needs, technical considerations, operational requirements, and commercial objectives when prioritising work.
- Ensure product roadmaps remain focused, achievable, and aligned with business priorities.
- Build strong relationships across teams to support effective decision-making and delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor on product strategy and customer needs.
People Leadership & Capability Development
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to the Product Owner - Data & Intelligence.
- Support the growth of product management capability across the organisation.
- Encourage evidence-based decision-making, customer focus, and continuous improvement within the Product function.
- Foster effective collaboration across Product, Research, Data, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Significant product management experience within software, SaaS, data, analytics, information services, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing product strategy and translating strategy into successful product outcomes.
- Strong customer discovery and customer engagement experience.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and influencing decision-making at multiple levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance customer, business, and technical considerations.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing less experienced product professionals.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, intelligence, research, or GIS-related sectors.
- Experience with pricing strategy, product portfolio management, or commercial proposition development.
- Experience establishing or improving product management operating models and governance.
- Knowledge of product analytics, customer journey mapping, and modern product management practices.
