Job Description
The Global FX and Cross-Border Solutions team is charged with leading the strategy, design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class flexible enterprise-wide FX and Cross-Border solutions as we seek to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world.
What’s it all about?
The Senior Product Manager, Global FX & Cross-Border Issuer Solutions is responsible for defining and executing the roadmap for issuer-focused FX and Cross-Border capabilities, driving product strategy from concept through execution while partnering closely with technology, operations and regional stakeholders. The successful candidate will leverage deep knowledge of Visa capabilities and systems, while translating business objectives into scalable product solutions through detailed requirements, transaction flows, prototypes and technical designs. The role requires strong product thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate and prioritise product investments, balancing client needs, technical feasibility and strategic objectives to ensure resources are focused on the initiatives that deliver the greatest client, commercial and long-term business value.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Gen AI tools (e.g. Replit, Copilot, Figma AI, Claude Code etc) to enable everyday work.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Product Design & Solution Architecture
- Own and manage the development of customer-centric product requirements for issuer FX and multicurrency solutions by leveraging AI-powered tools to rapidly define, iterate, validate, and refine product concepts.
- Transform client needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into prioritized requirements, AI-generated prototypes, workflow-models, user stories, process flows, and scalable solution designs using AI tools.
- Design end-to-end solutions that align business objectives, client requirements and technical capabilities.
- Develop transaction flow diagrams, system interaction models, wireframes and solution prototypes to support product development and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive requirements gathering and translate complex business problems into clear and actionable technical requirements.
- Work with Technology, Processing and Architecture teams to assess solution feasibility, dependencies and implementation considerations.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to convert strategic product opportunities into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead client workshops, design sessions, solution reviews and architecture discussions throughout the product lifecycle, translating market and client needs into validated product concepts and scalable technical solutions that support successful delivery.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Prioritisation
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Global FX & Cross-Border Issuer and multicurrency product strategy.
- Identify strategic opportunities through client engagement, market research, competitive analysis and industry developments.
- Evaluate product initiatives and investment opportunities based on client value, commercial potential, technical feasibility, implementation complexity, scalability and strategic alignment.
- Develop business cases, market assessments and value frameworks to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
- Partner with regional, commercial and product teams to gather market insights and validate investment opportunities.
- Assess build, buy and partner opportunities to address product capability gaps, recommending the optimal approach based on strategic, commercial and technical considerations, and supporting partnership commercials, contracting and execution.
- Recommend product roadmap priorities, sequencing and investment allocation based on expected business impact, resource constraints and strategic objectives.
- Support annual planning, portfolio reviews and investment discussions with senior leadership.
- Monitor product performance, adoption and commercial outcomes, using Gen AI and data-driven insights to refine strategy and prioritise future investments.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including issuer processing, FX mechanics, multicurrency solutions and cross-border transaction flows.
- Demonstrated experience working with payment processing platforms and technologies, including VIP, BASE II, authorisation, clearing, settlement and transaction lifecycle management.
- Experience designing and documenting complex solutions through BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process maps, transaction flows and solution design documentation.
- Experience working with multi-currency, wallet, FX or banking platforms such as Currencycloud is highly desirable.
- 5-8+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, payments, FX, multicurrency solutions, issuer processing or cross-border payments.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, solve complex business and technical problems, and translate them into scalable product solutions.
- Experience partnering with Technology, Processing, Operations and Architecture teams to deliver product enhancements and strategic initiatives.
- Experience supporting product roadmap development, business case creation, revenue drivers, financial models and portfolio prioritisation.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and prioritisation skills, with the ability to assess opportunities based on client value, commercial impact, technical feasibility and strategic alignment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technical audiences.
- Experience working within global, matrixed organisations and collaborating across regional and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (regional and global).
