Maternity Cover - Fixed-Term 12 months' Contract

Beauty Works retails luxury hair solutions, including ready to wear clip-ins, semipermanent professional extensions and exclusive collaborations. Our hair extensions, aftercare products and electrical stylers have earned recognition amongst the beauty press and up and down the red carpet. Beauty Works operates internationally to both salon professional and directly to consumers and is owned by a Beauty Industry Group based in Salt Lake City and has the largest share of the hair extensions market in the world.

Job Summary

As Senior Product Manager (Maternity Cover), you will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for our Hair Extensions category across Beauty Works, Hairtalk Germany and future EMEA markets. You'll be responsible for driving category growth through innovative product development, commercial strategy and successful product launches, while ensuring exceptional quality and customer experience.

Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Education, Regulatory and Finance, you'll own the NPD process from concept through to launch, building a market-leading product portfolio that delivers against our commercial and brand objectives.

Role Outline & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) process, from concept through to commercial launch.
  • Develop and deliver the category strategy, innovation roadmap and product launch calendar.
  • Identify growth opportunities through market trends, consumer insights and competitive analysis.
  • Build commercially viable business cases, product specifications and launch plans.
  • Drive innovation across hair extensions, accessories, tools, attachment technologies and sustainable solutions.
  • Manage supplier and manufacturing partnerships, including cost negotiations, product development and quality approvals.
  • Partner with Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure best-in-class product performance, forecasting and launch readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional projects through the Stage-Gate process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to deliver compelling product launches, training materials and technical content.
  • Present category strategies and new product concepts to senior stakeholders and commercial partners.
  • Support portfolio optimisation through range reviews, SKU rationalisation and post-launch performance analysis.
  • Ensure products meet regulatory, legal and quality standards while protecting intellectual property where applicable.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in Product Management or New Product Development within beauty, haircare, cosmetics or consumer goods.
  • Proven experience within the hair extensions or professional hair industry.
  • Demonstrated success delivering products from concept through to commercial launch.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience building business cases and managing product profitability.
  • Experience managing international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience within professional salon channels and EMEA markets.
  • Knowledge of hair sourcing, extension manufacturing and attachment technologies.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, intellectual property or trademark management.
