The Senior Product Manager for Legal
The Senior Product Manager for Legal is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, commercial performance, and continuous improvement of multiple products and workflows, with a specific focus on the billing and legal accounts side of the Legal portfolio. The role balances customer needs, business objectives, market opportunities, and technical capabilities to drive product outcomes that deliver measurable commercial and customer value. Unlike a Product Manager who primarily focuses on an individual product or workflow, the Senior Product Manager operates across multiple products, coordinating cross-product priorities, dependencies, investment decisions, roadmaps, and go-to-market execution while coaching and developing product management capability across the team. The role plays a critical leadership position in shaping product direction, driving adoption of AI-enabled practices, and influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation.
This is a hybrid role based out of our York or Birmingham office, with the expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office weekly or monthly as required.
What You Will Do
- Define and drive product strategy, priorities, and long-term direction across multiple products or workflows within a product portfolio.
- Own and coordinate multiple product roadmaps, resolving dependencies, conflicts, and competing priorities across teams.
- Lead customer discovery activities across products, synthesising insights and identifying strategic opportunities that influence investment decisions.
- Build and maintain business cases, ROI assessments, and investment recommendations for significant product initiatives.
- Owns UX quality and coherence across product portfolio and embeds US standards across the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate agile product delivery across teams, ensuring consistent backlog quality, delivery standards, story definition, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage and influence a broad stakeholder network across customers, commercial functions, technology teams, partners, and senior leaders.
- Lead commercial performance management, including pricing, packaging, revenue growth opportunities, adoption, retention, and product profitability.
- Define and track product, operational, and commercial success metrics, using insights to drive portfolio decisions and continuous improvement.
- Champion product expertise across the organisation, define technical debt strategies across the sub portfolio. Acting as the recognised authority on product capabilities, opportunities, dependencies, and future direction.
- Drive AI adoption and AI-enabled product opportunities, establishing standards for evaluation, governance, testing, and implementation across product teams.
- Defines and owns go-to-market strategy and execution, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer teams to maximise market adoption and business impact.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Product Managers and wider product team members, strengthening product management capability and product culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
