Senior Product Manager

Rate: Up to £500 a day inside IR35

Clearance: Active SC Clearance

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Manchester, Sheffield, or Blackpool as required

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to support a major UK Government client on complex, user-focused digital products and services. The successful candidate will have strong experience managing products through the full product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through to delivery and continuous improvement. Previous UK Government experience is essential, with a strong understanding of the GOV.UK Service Standards and agile, user-centred delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional, agile teams to deliver successful digital products.
  • Develop product visions, MVPs, roadmaps, and priorities based on user and business needs.
  • Lead and facilitate discovery, ideation, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and wider project groups.
  • Translate complex business problems into clear product objectives and deliverable outcomes.
  • Communicate product strategy, objectives, plans, and progress effectively.
  • Work in line with GOV.UK Service Standards, agile, and user-centred design principles.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge decisions constructively where appropriate.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

Essential Experience

  • Strong track record as a Senior Product Manager across complex projects.
  • UK Government experience is essential.
  • Experience working to GOV.UK Service Standards.
  • Proven experience across the full product lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of agile delivery, software development, and user-centred design.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and facilitating workshops.
  • Active SC Clearance.
