At Expedia Group, performance is product quality. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Performance to define and lead the strategy for improving user-perceived performance across our traveler facing experiences, while building the systems, operating model, and guardrails needed to prevent regressions before they reach travelers.
In this role, you will partner across engineering, architecture, product, UX, analytics, experimentation, and platform teams to make performance measurable, actionable, and durable. You will own the product vision and roadmap for performance across web and app, balancing near-term experience improvements with longer-term investments in instrumentation, diagnostics, release protections, and performance-by-default product development practices.
You will help Expedia Group deliver faster, more stable, and more resilient experiences for travelers by ensuring teams can understand performance, prioritize the right improvements, and prevent degradation at scale.
What you will do:
- Define and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for performance across web and native app experiences.
- Establish a clear performance product vision spanning page and screen load speed, interaction responsiveness, visual stability, reliability of measurement, and degradation prevention.
- Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to identify and prioritize platform and product investments that improve performance at scale.
- Own the performance measurement framework across web and app, including headline metrics, driver metrics, and guardrail metrics that help teams make better prioritization decisions.
- Lead discovery across stakeholder groups to identify root causes of poor user experience, quantify business impact, and translate findings into roadmap priorities.
- Drive adoption of performance standards, budgets, and release guardrails that reduce regressions and improve consistency across teams.
- Shape the operating model for performance reviews, regression triage, escalation paths, and accountability for remediation.
- Partner with experimentation and analytics teams to evaluate how product, content, and feature changes affect performance and traveler outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for observability, monitoring, and developer tooling to improve visibility into performance bottlenecks and degradations.
- Influence roadmaps across multiple product and platform teams without direct authority, aligning leaders on shared goals, sequencing, and trade-offs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for performance strategy, progress, and outcomes with senior stakeholders across Product and Technology.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
