About the role

The Commercial Product team is at the heart of transforming how Tesco buys, prices, and manages products for our customers. We are responsible for building the technology and data capabilities that enable better decisions, stronger supplier partnerships, and improved outcomes across the business.

As part of this team, the Price domain plays a critical role in shaping how Tesco delivers value to customers—balancing competitiveness, profitability, and transparency at scale.

You will be responsible for

  • Shape and evolve the group product strategy and vision for Pricing domain applications
  • Define the problem space, opportunities, and priorities, ensuring alignment with wider Commercial Product and Retail Platform strategy
  • Work closely with Product Managers and the Lead Product Manager to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Provide guidance and support on prioritisation, trade-offs, and sequencing of work
  • Support teams to deliver outcomes over outputs, with clear linkage to business value
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Data Science, and Technology to align on priorities and approach across the Group
  • Work across business strategy and product delivery, navigating ambiguity, making well-reasoned trade-offs, and bringing others with you.
  • Bring clarity and alignment across multiple products, teams, and markets
  • Support and coach Product Managers and peers

You will need

  • Leading complex problem spaces — Proven experience owning ambiguous, multi‑layered product areas and bringing structure, clarity, and direction.
  • Cross‑functional leadership — Comfortable partnering across technology, business, and operational teams to drive alignment and shared outcomes.
  • Strategic product thinking — Able to shape product strategy, define long‑term direction, and make informed trade‑offs that balance customer, business, and technical needs.
  • Outcome ownership — Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable impact, not just ship features.
  • Coaching and mentoring — Supports the growth of others, offering guidance, feedback, and thought partnership across the team.
  • Senior‑level product experience — Already operating at Senior Product Manager level, or ready to step into a broader, more strategic remit.

  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.
