Job Title: Senior Product Manager – Professional Development
Salary: £49,300 - £65,950
Location: Cambridge/hybrid
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week

We are recruiting for an exciting role as a Senior Product Manager in the Professional Development team within Cambridge International. You will have a key role in ensuring that teachers are set up for success in their classroom through innovative, impactful and sustained professional learning opportunities.
About The Role
The Senior Product Manager – Professional Development plays a key role to lead and drive the vision and management of our professional development products and services, specifically professional development qualifications, credit-bearing programmes and awards.
You will define the vision for designated professional development products, ensuring buy in from stakeholders and fit with overarching business, and deliver against this vision in ways that delight customers and sustain competitive advantage.
You will manage all stages of the product lifecycle, from discovery to eventual retirement, working with a range of stakeholders across the business and externally to ensure product success against set metrics. To do this you will be responsible for developing product propositions, managing insights effectively whilst keeping key awareness of commercial and learning outcomes.
The key accountabilities include:
- Leading product strategy and development across a defined professional development portfolio
- Designing and delivering customer research to inform product decisions
- Managing a range of professional development products, utilising specialist teams within the business to ensure product success
- Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver successful product launches
- Ensuring professional development products remain competitive, profitable, and aligned to curriculum needs
This role is based in our Cambridge headquarters and the postholder will be required to spend at least 40% of their time collaborating and connecting in-person, in the office. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

About You
You will bring proven experience of product management within an educational context. You will have a track record of designing and developing successful professional development programmes and managing them from discovery to eventual retirement. You will demonstrate both strong commercial awareness and abilities in proposition development, insights gathering and interpretation, and programme and qualifications design.
You will have knowledge, experience and interest in areas of direct relevance to the current and future needs of teachers and learners internationally, including but not limited to pedagogical methods; educational assessment; artificial intelligence and its classroom applications; and educational leadership.
You will demonstrate an ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders understanding their needs and how they can inform successful product development and management.

- First stage virtual interview via MS Teams: You will be asked a series of questions about your motivations for the role, and in relation to the criteria outlined in the job description
- Final stage interview: in-person at our offices in Cambridge. For this stage, you will be provided with a short task which you will present on the day (approximately 10 minutes). This will be supplemented by some additional questions related to your knowledge, skills and experiences related to the advertised role.
