The Role
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing the bank's savings and mortgage products, ensuring they deliver customer value, support commercial objectives, and comply with regulatory requirements. The role will contribute to the delivery of the bank's product strategy through effective product development, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of customer propositions.
You will work closely with colleagues across risk, compliance, operations, technology, marketing, and commercial teams to identify customer needs, assess market opportunities, and deliver innovative, compliant, and commercially sustainable products. They will champion customer-centric thinking and support the development of simple, accessible, and digitally enabled product propositions that respond to changing customer expectations, market conditions, and regulatory developments.

The role holder will be responsible for monitoring product performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth, and ensuring products remain competitive and aligned to business objectives. They will support product governance and risk management activities, using data, customer insight, and market intelligence to inform recommendations and enhance product outcomes while contributing to the bank's wider strategic goals.
Strategic Product Management
- Contribute to the development of the vision, positioning, and value proposition for the savings product, informed by customer insight, market trends, and business objectives
- Translate customer, commercial, and regulatory requirements into product enhancements and new product opportunities
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap, making recommendations on priorities, trade-offs, and delivery plans
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product initiatives support wider business goals and growth ambitions
Delivery & Execution
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of savings product developments, from concept and design through to launch and ongoing optimisation
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compliant, scalable, and customer-focused solutions
- Monitor product performance against agreed metrics, including customer adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and commercial outcomes
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges, escalating issues where appropriate and driving timely resolution
Customer & Market Insight
- Build a strong understanding of customer needs, behaviours, and pain points through research, analysis, customer feedback, and testing
- Monitor competitor activity, market developments, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
- Use customer and market insights to support product enhancements and improve customer outcomes
- Advocate for a customer-centric approach across product development and decision

Collaboration & Influence
- Act as a subject matter expert for the savings product, providing guidance and insight to stakeholders across the business
- Build strong working relationships across compliance, risk, operations, technology, marketing, and commercial teams to support successful product delivery
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product management practices, governance, and ways of working
- Support and influence stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven recommendations, and effective collaboration across the organisation.
MI and Performance Dashboards
- Build and maintain performance dashboards that give the information required to make management decisions in regards to both the Savings and Mortgage products
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Proven ability to execute product strategies aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial awareness, with experience of managing P&L and driving profitability.
- Knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies impacting the banking sector.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management, from concept through launch, maintenance, and retirement.
- Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration with technology, operations, compliance, and commercial teams.
Salary
£60,000 - £70,000 a year
