The Role

Tavily, part of Nebius, is the web access layer for AI agents. Over two million developers use us, and our customers include Fortune 500 companies running agents in production.

Vertical search is where we combine public sources with premium vertical data and shape the result into a product for a specific use case. This role owns that layer end to end. You decide which industries and use cases we productize. With the data team, you find and evaluate the public and premium data providers behind each one. You shape the product surface that sits on top.

You will sit with customers in these industries, learn how they actually work, and turn their needs and pain points into clear specs. You will build with engineering, ship it, and make sure go-to-market knows how to sell it. You own the outcome, not just the handoff: from the first market call through to adoption and revenue.

The hard part is choosing. There are more verticals worth building than we can build, and the difference between a good year and a wasted one is knowing which ones to invest in and which to walk away from, even when a large customer is asking for another.

In your first year, we expect you to know our top use cases better than anyone here, ship a product built for one of them that customers will pay more for, and have a defensible view of what comes next.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a hands-on senior IC role with real ownership. You will work within a small PM team reporting to the Director of Product, alongside engineering, research, data, and go-to-market.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vertical roadmap. You decide where we invest, what we ship for each, and when a vertical is not worth it.
  • Shape the product surface on top of the data, so a customer gets something built for their job.
  • Find and evaluate the data behind each vertical, across public sources and paid providers, and decide what is worth investing in.
  • Sit with customers in these industries until you understand their workflow, then turn that into specs engineering can build.
  • Set what a good answer looks like in each use case, working with our evaluation team, who own how we measure it.
  • Work with customer success to learn what customers ask us for and what makes them leave.
  • Partner with the search owner on how results should be ranked and shaped for each use case.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a meaningful portion in search, data, or industry-specific AI products.
  • Experience building products for a specific industry or use case, combined with enough technical depth to work directly on the data underneath: where it comes from, how good it is, and what it takes to make it usable.
  • A track record of real customer discovery: you have gone deep on how a particular kind of team works, and shipped something because of what you found.
  • Experience in API-first or developer-platform businesses.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and how search and retrieval systems fit into agentic workflows.
  • A technical background, through a degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent hands-on experience, with the ability to engage deeply with technical architecture and tradeoffs.
  • The ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.

  • Experience evaluating and working with external data providers, including judging quality and negotiating what you actually need.
  • Leadership experience in a high-growth technology company, especially post-acquisition or startup-within-a-larger-org environments.
