I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
You will be working as a Senior Product Manager within a collection of data-driven, outcome led product leaders where user-centric design thinking is always front and centre. We work across a spectrum of client accounts, bringing lean-thinking and agility to ensure that things go faster in a controlled, well thought through, data driven manner that goes hand in hand with delivery excellence. We are Product people at heart and as a result are focused on our client’s user experiences, enabling the clients to and deliver incremental value rapidly and regularly, through continuous improvement, while always aiming for simplicity.
There is a requirement to be onsite in our central Leeds office 1 to 2 times a week. This can be discussed with your manager for full flexibility and can be restructured to best suit your needs, as well as some travel to client site (specific to client needs and requirements).
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end digital product lifecycle from discovery to launch and optimisation within client engagements, owning product-level P&L performance, ensuring revenue, margin, and value-creation targets are achieved (where appropriate).
- Translate client insight, user needs, and market trends into clear product strategy and roadmaps.
- Prioritise and manage product backlogs using agile methods and value-based decision frameworks.
- Facilitate collaboration across multi-disciplinary (often rainbow) delivery teams.
- Define and track KPIs to assess product health and inform data-driven decisions.
- Run client workshops, discovery activities, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Guide delivery teams to ensure scope, value, and timelines remain aligned.
- Work autonomously and deliver exceptional quality work without supervision.
- Collaborate across Axiologik practices to shape cross-functional offerings and represent product capability across the business.
- Support Axiologik business growth and capability development through identification of new opportunities, bid support, client engagement, line management, mentoring and coaching of teams (both internal to Axiologik and within client engagements).
- Adapt your working patterns to fit client needs, including flexibility on location.
