Senior Product Marketing Manager

About the Role

Own the go-to-market product strategy for Defaqto Unity, a newly unified platform resulting from strategic acquisition and innovation.


This is a pivotal opportunity to shape Defaqto Unity from its consolidation into an influential adviser technology proposition. You’ll align cross-functional teams, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and help define the narrative for both the unified platform and broader Defaqto brand.


Responsibilities

Proposition Strategy & Positioning

  • Define the positioning, value proposition, and messaging framework for Defaqto Unity, ensuring a unified brand narrative
  • Simplify a complex multi-product proposition into a clear, compelling market story
  • Establish Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), segmentation, personas, and key use cases
  • Conduct competitive landscape analysis to drive differentiation in the adviser technology market
  • Develop and own the go-to-market strategy, including launch phasing, channels, and success metrics

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Partner closely with sales and customer success for impactful enablement materials
  • Monitor post-launch performance and refine the approach based on data and feedback
  • Lead the consolidation and rebranding of acquired products under a unified brand architecture
  • Ensure consistency across messaging, digital platforms, and customer touchpoints
  • Guide the evolution of the Defaqto master brand as the Unity proposition scales
  • Act as the senior marketing voice for the adviser proposition, influencing stakeholders across product, sales, and leadership teams

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in B2B SaaS go-to-market strategy
  • Strong understanding of positioning, segmentation, and proposition development
  • Familiarity with the UK financial adviser market (advantageous)
  • Experience working in multi-product environments, especially post-acquisition contexts
  • Knowledge of brand architecture and rebranding initiatives
  • Ability to develop positioning and messaging from first principles

  • 7+ years’ experience in product marketing or strategic marketing roles
  • Proven track record in launching complex propositions or leading go-to-market strategies
  • Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to challenge and influence decisively

Important Notes

  • Hybrid work: Based in London, with office presence 2–3 days weekly and occasional visits to Haddenham location.
