About Business Banking at Monzo
Since its launch five years ago, Monzo Business Banking has been dedicated to delivering the very best of Monzo to small businesses. Today, it's an award-winning service, empowering over 1 million businesses across the UK.
As Monzo expands across Europe, Business Banking is entering its next phase: adapting our products and proposition for small businesses in new markets, while continuing our mission to make money work for businesses.
The Role
Weâre looking for several Senior PMMs to own Product Marketing for entire products and experiences.
A useful distinction - at Monzo, Product Marketing starts upstream in product-market fit. We're embedded in squads with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Designers, User Researchers, and Sales, bringing the voice of the customer and market into what we build, how we position it, and how we take it to market. We own customer and market understanding, positioning, proposition, launch strategy, and sales enablement. We then partner closely with Integrated Marketing, who lead campaign strategy, creative direction, channel execution, and growth. Together, we build the right products and help them succeed in market.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll own Product Marketing for a product end-to-end: understanding customers, shaping product strategy, defining positioning, and helping bring launches to market.
Where you could join
Business Banking EU. Business Banking is entering its next phase of growth as we expand beyond the UK. In this role, you'll define how Monzo Business Banking succeeds in new European markets - understanding local customer needs, building the proposition that translates our core product into local relevance, and working across Product, Growth, Marketing, and local teams to bring those products to market. This is a senior role for someone with high autonomy who loves turning dense customer and market insight into practical decisions about what should launch.
Business Banking. Business Banking is growing quickly, serving more than one million businesses across the UK while expanding into increasingly sophisticated customer needs. In this role, you'll shape how our products are positioned, sold, and adoptedâfrom defining compelling product narratives to enabling Sales and partnering with Growth and Marketing on launches. This is a role for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of Product and commercial teams, translating customer insight into positioning, propositions, and go-to-market strategies that help more businesses choose Monzo.

Iâm in my final year doing Economics and I donât know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer â it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donât need a masters. Letâs look at the ones youâd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet â that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
- Set Product Marketing Strategy for a set of products. You'll define a one-year Product Marketing strategy for a major area of Business Banking, connecting customer insight, market opportunity, and commercial priorities into a clear direction for the product area, rather than one individual product, with measurable business outcomes.
- Develop differentiated positioning & messaging: You'll create compelling positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate Monzo in the market and resonate with different customer segments. You'll build messaging frameworks that Product, Sales, Integrated Marketing, and broader marketing teams use consistently across launches and customer journeys.
- Drive competitive intelligence and market insights: Youâll build and maintain the market view for your product area. You'll become the recognised authority on your customer segment and competitive landscape, building a coherent view of the market from customer research, commercial data, competitor intelligence, and Sales insight. Your recommendations will shape product strategy, positioning, go-to-market, and commercial priorities across the Business Banking collective.
- Shape product strategy across markets. You'll partner closely with Product, Research, Design, and Data to identify customer problems, market opportunities, and competitive gaps that influence roadmap priorities. Your customer and market insight will shape what we build, not just how we bring it to market.
- Set the go-to-market strategy for priority products and markets. You'll define what audiences we prioritise, why they would choose Monzo, what needs to be true for them to switch and stay, and what success looks like - giving Product, Sales, Marketing, and local market teams a shared strategic direction for how the product enters or scales in market.
- Own product representation across the customer journey. You'll define the core proposition and value messages that should carry through key customer and sales touchpoints, so customers consistently understand why the product matters. You'll partner with teams across Product, Sales, Marketing, CRM, and local markets to make sure the customer experience reflects the agreed positioning.
- Enable localisation: You'll work with local market teams to determine what should remain globally consistent and what should adapt locally, ensuring positioning, customer journeys, and launches resonate in each market while strengthening the overall Monzo Business Banking proposition.
This is for you if:
- You're recognised for your Product Marketing expertise. You're comfortable owning Product Marketing across a product area or market, and people seek your perspective on customers, competitors, positioning, and product strategy.
- You bring senior stakeholders with you & thrive in cross-functional environments. You work effectively across Product, Sales, Growth, Marketing, and Research, building alignment around difficult decisions and helping teams make confident product and commercial choices.
- You raise the quality of the work around you. You enjoy mentoring less experienced PMMs, sharing your expertise, and improving how the team works through better frameworks, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
