Our Offer
Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Senior Systems Engineering Consultant to join our rapidly growing team to support our UK and overseas clients across a variety of industries including defence and aerospace.
Our portfolio of projects includes work at all stages of the system lifecycle, from concept definition to in-service support. As well as directly supporting Systems Engineering & MBSE tasks for our clients, we also offer consultancy services to improve organisation’s Systems Engineering & MBSE capabilities and enable digital transformation.
We ensure that we are offering good practice, taking into account both established and emerging technologies and techniques, adopting latest toolsets and frameworks, supplemented by techniques such as mathematical simulation, digital visualisation and our own REVEAL® Requirements Engineering Framework to enhance MBSE and Digital Engineering solutions delivered to our clients.
We operate a hybrid working policy, with a mix of home working and office-based working in local Capgemini offices, along with occasional travel to client sites.
Your Role
As a Senior Systems Engineering Consultant Within Capgemini, You Will Be Working Alongside Some Of The Top Experts In The Country, On Some Of The Largest And Most Complex Client Engagements Across a Variety Of Industry Sectors. You Will Be Given The Opportunity To Grow And Take On Responsibility From Day One In a Challenging But Rewarding And Meritocratic Environment. We Are Looking For a Senior Consultant Who Will Have Opportunities To Take Lead In Large Scale Digital Transformation Projects For Our Clients And Focus On Growing Our Team Capability While Connecting Us To The Wider Teams Across Capgemini. You May Be Involved In The Following
- Developing transformation initiatives for complex organisations involving people, processes and tools.
- Consulting with stakeholders to elicit and manage their systems engineering capability needs and define requirements.
- Communicating the underlying principles of systems engineering & MBSE to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Introducing and promoting systems engineering capabilities in organisations at various levels of maturity across a variety of industries.
- Providing technical leadership and authoritative advice in adoption of systems engineering.
- Proposing systems engineering & digital engineering solutions to address client’s needs.
- Developing our capabilities in digital engineering and defining how systems engineering feeds into wider digital twins.
- Contribute to the team capability development, share knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team.
- Knowledge capitalisation, support and mentoring of more junior members of the team.

Our senior consultants are expected to contribute significantly to sales support, the improvement of Capgemini Engineering’s systems engineering capability, and to networking across the systems engineering community to develop their reputation as experts in their chosen field.
Your Profile
Essential
- Experience in digital transformation, engineering architecture, and complex multi-disciplinary solution design.
- Experience with the application of industry-standard systems engineering frameworks, languages and tools (e.g. MagicGrid, Arcadia, SysML, Cameo Systems Modeller, Rhapsody etc.)
- Experience in developing, maintaining and using an MBSE model.
- Understanding of the full Systems Engineering Lifecycle from concept to retirement from service (e.g. Requirements management, Interface definition, Verification & Validation etc.)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to support client needs.
- Effective oral and written communication as well as influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Engineering or science related degree.
Desirable
- Experience of working in an engineering context within the aerospace industry (e.g. mechanical, electrical, software, systems, manufacturing).
- Experience of Model based design tools or programming (e.g. Simulink, Python, etc.)
- Professional SE certification from an organisation such as INCOSE, or the desire to work towards it.
- Chartered Engineer status, or the desire to work towards it.
