Senior Production Engineer | London (4 Days Onsite)

Are you the engineer people turn to when production goes wrong?

We're partnering with a fast-growing fintech that's building mission-critical software for regulated financial institutions. As the platform scales across international markets, they're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to take ownership of production reliability while remaining close to the code.

This isn't a traditional support role. You'll be expected to investigate complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and contribute directly to the backend codebase.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning high-priority production incidents from investigation through to resolution.
  • Troubleshooting complex distributed systems running in production.
  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.
  • Developing smaller backend features and production improvements.
  • Working closely with Software Engineers, Platform Engineers and Infrastructure teams to improve reliability and performance.
  • Helping mature incident management processes and mentoring other engineers.
  • Participating in a compensated out-of-hours on-call rota.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
