Description

In this role, you'll drive Production Finance operations for Amazon Studios' UK slate - acting as the financial controller across the full production lifecycle, from greenlight through final cost close-out. You'll define how we measure, report, and communicate financial performance across UK productions, owning the metrics and dashboards that inform executive decision-making. With full autonomy over funding, controllership, and compliance, you'll be the person leadership relies on to surface risks early, explain variances clearly, and keep financial operations running cleanly at pace. You'll also set the standard for how the broader team works - simplifying processes, scaling tools, and raising the bar for production finance across the EU organisation.

Amazon MGM Studios is one of the UK's largest investors in film and television production, with a permanent production home at Bray Film Studios and a long-term presence at Shepperton Studios. Our UK-produced originals span scripted drama, feature films, and tentpole series reaching hundreds of millions of Prime Video customers globally. We operate with a start-up mentality inside a global organisation - small, collaborative teams that move quickly, take ownership, and solve complex problems at scale.

At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at making complex decisions, onboarding new team members, and fostering the kind of creative collaboration that has driven Amazon's success. The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
