About The Role:
The Crowd are working with a mid-sized and highly creative, multi-disciplinary design studio who are looking for a Senior Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
With an exciting portfolio and pipeline of high-profile international projects, this role will work closely with the senior leadership team across a diverse range of large-scale experiential, installation and live production projects. You will lead the technical delivery of projects from initial concept through to installation, overseeing budgets, suppliers, contractors and multiple workstreams to ensure everything comes together seamlessly and to the highest standard.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering production and experiential builds, with strong technical knowledge across scenic, AV, lighting and rigging, alongside proven experience managing substantial project budgets. You will be a confident communicator and natural collaborator, working closely with creative and project teams to translate ambitious ideas into technically achievable and successfully delivered projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical production and delivery of multiple large-scale experiential, installation, and live projects
- Coordinate closely with creative, design, client, and installation teams to ensure projects are technically viable and delivered to a high standard
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and production requirements across multiple workstreams
- Oversee suppliers, fabricators, contractors, and specialist partners, building strong relationships and ensuring quality, value, and reliable delivery
- Review technical drawings, specifications, materials, and production details, identifying potential issues and developing practical solutions
- Attend sites and oversee installation, resolving technical or logistical challenges and ensuring health and safety requirements are met
- Take ownership of significant production budgets, monitoring costs and making commercially sound decisions throughout delivery
- Support and mentor junior members of the production team, sharing knowledge and helping to develop technical capability across the studio
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Significant experience in technical production, experiential builds, installations, events, or a similar environment, ideally working on complex projects at scale
- Proven experience managing substantial production budgets
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, or similar technical design software
- Understanding of production, lighting, infrastructure, materials, and fabrication
- Established network of suppliers and specialist production partners
- Strong knowledge of health and safety, permits, insurance, licensing, and other requirements relating to live production and installations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with clients, contractors, creative teams, and senior colleagues
- Calm and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to make sound decisions and manage pressure across complex projects
- Proven experience leading or mentoring junior team members, with a collaborative and supportive management style
