Sabre is a multi-skilled creative company working on a wide variety of exciting, creative, and fun projects. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Large Format Production Manager to join our team in Woolwich / Charlton, London.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, creative working environment and wants to be involved in projects that are varied and often different from one day to the next. We are looking for someone who understands large format production, can confidently operate machinery, manage a workshop, and lead a team by example.
The Role
As Senior Large Format Production Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our workshop and production operation. You'll be expected to manage people, organise production, and make sure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard — while also being hands-on and getting involved in the work yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the large format printing workshop.
- Operate large format printers and JWEI cutting machines.
- Carry out weeding, cutting, trimming, and finishing.
- Prepare and finish printed materials to a high standard.
- Manage completed work ready for collection or delivery.
- Organise production schedules and prioritise jobs.
- Allocate work and manage the workshop team.
- Check quality throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Maintain an organised, clean, and safe workshop.
- Ensure machinery is used correctly and safely.
- Monitor materials and stock.
- Train, support, and develop junior members of the team.
- Take direction from management and turn instructions into action.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Sabre team.
- Lead by example and be prepared to get hands-on.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in large format printing and production.
- Has hands-on experience with large format print and finishing.
- Is confident with weeding, cutting, finishing, and packing.
- Has experience managing or supervising a production/workshop team.
- Is organised and able to work to deadlines.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is practical, proactive, and good at solving problems.
- Is confident managing people while also being willing to get stuck into the work.
- Leads by example rather than simply delegating.
- Is happy to train and mentor junior team members.
- Can take instruction and work independently.
- Has a positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude.
- Enjoys working in a creative, varied, and sometimes fast-paced environment.
