Role Description
The Senior Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ashford, responsible for overseeing end-to-end large format print production operations. This includes:
- Planning and scheduling jobs
- Allocating resources
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards

The role involves:

- Supervising production staff
- Coordinating with account managers and clients
- Resolving day-to-day production issues
The Senior Production Manager will:
- Monitor workflow and capacity
- Maintain equipment and materials readiness
- Implement continuous improvements in processes, safety, and efficiency
This position also requires:
- Tracking key performance metrics
- Managing vendor relationships
- Supporting strategic decisions related to production capabilities and service offerings
Qualifications
- Experience managing print production or manufacturing operations, ideally in large format or related print environments.
- Strong skills in production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization, with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in supervising and developing team members, including providing coaching, performance feedback, and supporting a safe, inclusive work environment.
- Familiarity with large format printing equipment, materials, and processes, as well as basic technical troubleshooting and quality control practices.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with production management software, order tracking tools, or related systems; competence with standard office productivity software.
- Relevant vocational training or degree in print production, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead production role and a track record of successfully delivering complex projects are highly beneficial.
