Owen Daniels is supporting a leading advanced manufacturing business, seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to play a pivotal role in driving production planning, materials scheduling, and operational performance across a busy manufacturing site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner looking to take ownership of planning activities whilst working closely with senior leadership to ensure materials availability, production efficiency, and on-time customer delivery.

Operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you'll be a key link between Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Customer Service, helping to optimise planning processes, improve inventory performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role would suit a Senior Production Planner, Master Scheduler, Supply Chain Planner, Planning Manager, or Materials Planner looking for a new challenge within a growing manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning and scheduling activities to ensure customer demand is achieved efficiently.
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term production plans in line with customer requirements and manufacturing capacity.
  • Ensure material availability to support production schedules and minimise disruption.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy, and planning parameters to optimise working capital.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Operations, and Engineering to resolve material shortages and capacity constraints.
  • Support warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) activities, providing accurate planning data and recommendations.
  • Analyse planning performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and delivery performance.
  • Maintain ERP planning data, Bills of Materials, and system parameters to ensure planning accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects across planning, scheduling, and material flow.
  • Produce planning reports and KPIs for senior management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
