  • Salary: £38,000-£45,000 depending on experience
  • Holiday allowance: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Company pension contribution: 5%
  • Profit share bonus: Quarterly
  • Hours of work: 38 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, Friday 08:00 to 14:30

What you'll do as the Senior Planner (production & materials)

  • Own the Master Production Schedule for a specialist manufacturing department, collaborating directly with operations and commercial teams:
  • Create, monitor, and optimise the production plan; your skills will keep everything running smoothly and ensure customer deadlines are always met.
  • Lead forward order reviews each week and turn monthly Sales Demand Reviews into actionable, achievable plans.
  • Drive OTIF and arrears performance by spotting risks early and taking proactive steps to keep everything on track.
  • Schedule raw materials to keep production moving, without tying up cash in excess stock. Your balance of efficiency and cost control will be key.
  • Champion new scheduling and planning practices as you help embed a cutting-edge ERP system. Your input will shape how things are done for years to come.

What you'll need to apply for the Senior Planner (production & materials) position

  • A strong production planning background within a batch manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system, and the appetite to develop and improve it functionally, not just work with it
  • The confidence to challenge and drive production towards solutions when the plan slips
