Role: Transformation Programme Manager

Location: Dublin or Reading (Hybrid, up to 2 days per week in office)

Contract: Day Rate Contract

Initial 6 Months Contract

We are embarking on a major strategic initiative and are seeking a senior Transformation Programme Manager to lead large scale, complex retail transformation across our business. This is a pivotal role driving end to end programme delivery across business, technology, vendor, and operational teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring our execution stays aligned to overarching strategic objectives and delivers agreed business outcomes.

What You Will Be Driving

As Transformation Programme Manager, you will take full ownership of programme planning, scope, milestones, and budgets across multiple workstreams. You will establish robust governance, manage risks and interdependencies proactively, and lead stakeholder engagement at all levels. This role requires an experienced operator capable of navigating ambiguous environments, aligning delivery to future operating models, and working hand in hand with implementation partners to drive momentum.

Key Requirements

We are specifically seeking individuals with:

  • 10 plus years of experience as a Programme Manager or Transformation Lead with a proven track record in large scale retail transformations
  • Deep capability in programme governance, including planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, and executive reporting
  • Extensive experience coordinating third party vendors, implementation partners, and cross functional delivery teams
  • Strong ability to bring structure to complex, ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, operating seamlessly between technical teams and senior business leaders
  • Grounded knowledge of retail industry specific technologies, trends, and operational realities

Your Collaboration Zone

  • Partner closely with implementation partners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to drive delivery momentum and resolve barriers
  • Coordinate across business, technology, vendor, and leadership teams for aligned execution
  • Support decision making and milestone readiness across design, build, testing, and pilot phases
  • Report regularly into portfolio governance forums and executive stakeholders, capturing key learnings for future rollout phases
