Senior Programme Manager – Asset Management / Capital Works

UK-wide | Permanent | Hybrid/Flexible
£85K - £100K plus 20% bonus

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join an established organisation operating across the infrastructure and built environment sector.

This is a senior-level opportunity to take ownership of complex asset replacement and capital works programmes, working across sectors including healthcare, education, defence and civic infrastructure.

You’ll be responsible for taking projects from early identification and development through to procurement, delivery and handover, working closely with commercial, technical, operational and external stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading and overseeing asset replacement and capital works programmes
  • Identifying works requirements through asset condition information and surveys
  • Developing scopes, specifications and procurement strategies
  • Managing tender and procurement processes alongside commercial/procurement teams
  • Overseeing contractors, consultants and supply chain partners
  • Monitoring programme, quality, risk and commercial performance
  • Providing governance, reporting and updates to senior stakeholders
  • Managing complex stakeholder relationships and resolving project issues
  • Supporting successful project handover into operational environments
  • Providing leadership and guidance to other programme/project managers

What are we looking for?

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong experience within a PFI, PPP or similarly complex infrastructure environment
  • A proven track record of delivering capital works / asset replacement programmes
  • Consultancy, contractor, infrastructure or asset management experience
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Experience working within live operational environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • The ability to operate autonomously and lead through influence
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline
