Senior Programmatic & Ad Tech Specialist

Location: Barcelona or London (hybrid working)

Barcelona: 1 day per week in our central Barcelona office, with the remainder working remotely.
London: 3 days per week in our London office, with the remainder working remotely.

This global role directly drives worldwide revenue by optimizing Time Out’s global ad tech stack in GAM and Prebid, maximizing SSP yield, driving audience monetization, maintaining global compliance, and protecting site health across all international markets.

Responsibilities

Audience Monetization & First-Party Data

  • Subject matter expert in audience monetization platforms, addressability, and identity solutions.
  • Hands-on operation and strategy using tools such as Permutive, LiveRamp, The Trade Desk, and alternative ID frameworks to build, target, and monetize audience segments globally.
  • Activate and optimize high-value first-party data strategies for direct sales and programmatic deals across all regions.

Supply-Side Partnerships & Yield Optimization

  • Direct global relationship owner for all SSPs, ad networks, and demand partners.
  • Monitor international eCPMs, fill rates, floor pricing, and execute continuous A/B testing for unified pricing rules and PMPs.

Technical Stack & Global Compliance Management

  • Prebid: Worldwide maintenance, adding/removing bidder adapters, optimizing timeouts, and managing wrapper deployments.
  • Compliance: Technical ownership of global privacy frameworks (TCF, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), CMP management, ads.txt, and sellers.json.

ads.txt & CMP Governance

  • ads.txt & sellers.json Management: Responsible for the continuous auditing, updating, and validation of global ads.txt and sellers.json files to ensure zero revenue leakage and prevent unauthorized inventory reselling.
  • Consent Management Platform (CMP): Manage, deploy, and update Consent Management Platforms across all international domains to ensure strict adherence to global privacy frameworks (IAB TCF v2.2, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and regional privacy regulations).

GAM & Prebid Troubleshooting

  • Front-line technical support for global programmatic delivery issues, impression discrepancies, and latency spikes.
  • Use browser dev tools, Prebid Console, and GAM logs to debug tag, wrapper, and line-item errors.

Product & Inventory Architecture

  • Partner with global Product and Engineering teams on ad placements, lazy loading rules, Core Web Vitals, and viewability strategies.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in Publisher AdOps, Programmatic operations, or Ad Tech in a regional or global capacity.
  • Audience Tech Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of audience monetization tools and data platforms (Permutive, LiveRamp, The Trade Desk (UID2), or similar addressability solutions).
  • Tech Stack Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and Magnite.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Proficient with web calls (Chrome DevTools, Prebid Console, proxies) and standard JS/HTML context for ad calls.
  • Languages: Fluent English (written & spoken). Spanish is not required.
