Role Description
The Senior Programme Assurance Manager is responsible for providing independent assurance across complex, cross-functional programmes to ensure they deliver agreed outcomes, value, and benefits. This full-time, hybrid role is based in London, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day, the role involves:

- Designing and implementing programme assurance frameworks
- Conducting reviews and health checks
- Identifying risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact delivery

The manager will partner with programme sponsors, project managers, finance, technology, and business stakeholders to challenge plans, validate assumptions, and support remedial actions where needed. Additional responsibilities include:
- Reporting assurance findings to senior leadership
- Promoting best practices in governance and controls
- Contributing to continuous improvement of programme delivery standards across the group
Qualifications
- Strong programme and project management skills, including experience with large, complex initiatives, governance frameworks, and delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Proficiency in risk, issue, and dependency management, with a track record of designing and applying assurance and control frameworks in business or technology change programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders, facilitate challenging conversations, and produce clear, concise assurance reports.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including structured analysis, critical thinking, and the capability to interpret data and KPIs to assess programme health and performance.
- Experience working in complex, international or multi-business environments, ideally within FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMI, or equivalent; additional credentials in risk management, audit, or assurance are beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, sustainability, and delivering long-term value for stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing in-person collaboration in London with productive remote working.
