Senior Programme Manager
CORNERSTONE, the UK’s leading silicon photonics foundry at the University of Southampton, is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead the development of a Canada-UK semiconductor network, supporting early career researchers, and coordinate the activities of a consortium developing optical chips for AI.
About the Role
The successful candidate will manage the development of a Canada-UK semiconductor network, which aims to empower early career researchers (ECRs) to lead the next wave of innovation in advanced materials, photonics, and chip design. The successful candidate will also coordinate the activities of a consortium developing optical chips for AI.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders within industry, academia, and policy makers in the UK and Canada.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, managing day-to-day operations, communications, and marketing, while tracking actions to deliver outcomes and achieve impact.
- Design, develop, and deliver high-impact international conferences, workshops, and seminars, tracking membership and coordinating activities with partner organizations.
- Comfortable identifying complementary funding streams and sponsorship opportunities to enhance the network and maximize impact.
- Work alongside CORNERSTONE’s Engagement Officer and Administrator to promote activities via our website and social media accounts.
- Ensure Equality, Diversity & Inclusion are embedded within these activities, working with CORNERSTONE’s Delivery Manager - Operations & EDI.
