The team has deep expertise in working with established and emerging technologies, data analytics and data science, knowledge solutions and process re-engineering. The Practice Solutions team works with our lawyers to identify innovative solutions to support our clients. Through fostering a Firmwide culture of innovation, we encourage our lawyers to think creatively about how to deliver the best value to our clients and we ensure that White & Case remains at the forefront of advancements in the legal industry.
The Programme Manager will be responsible for the overall management of a portfolio of change and transformation initiatives within the Practice Solutions function, underpinning the Firm’s AI and Innovation strategy. We are keen to meet people who work most comfortably in a programme environment, and who can design and run robust programme structures with clearly defined tasks, activities, milestones and success metrics. Our approach is informed by data and insight, and we expect our programme leaders to be comfortable reading and interpreting data presented in spreadsheets and dashboards, and to use this to inform decisions and drive performance.

- Act as the central control function for the programme, ensuring that projects are aligned to strategic priorities, appropriately sequenced, and delivered in a coherent and integrated way
- Monitor delivery against the programme plan, proactively identify variances, and work with project owners to agree corrective actions
- Ensure that benefits, value measures and KPIs are defined, tracked and reported, and that outcomes are clearly articulated to leadership and stakeholders

- Prepare high-quality programme materials for leadership and Firm-wide forums, including status reports, roadmaps and decision papers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
