Description
We are seeking a full-time Senior Programmes Manager to join Professor Maike Osborne at the Department of Engineering Science central Oxford. The post is funded by The Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative (AIGI) and Technical AI Governance (TAIG) programme and is fixed-term to 9 November 2029.
This role requires strategic oversight, operational leadership, and a strong connection between academic research, policy, and implementation. The post holder will be pivotal to ensuring that strategic cross-institutional collaborations are successful in furthering the goals of the research programmes. The Senior Programmes Manager will ensure that the programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, enabling their long-term growth and impact.
You will be educated to a postgraduate level and have extensive professional experience working in a research and/or policy environment. Proven self-motivation, with a commitment to excellence and problem-solving through lateral and creative thinking, operating with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making authority is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations with a proven ability to contribute as a team member in a busy office environment is also required.
