I have partnered with a leading Power / Infrastructure business to have a Senior Project Accountant join their finance team to focus on revenue and bring commercial data to non finance staff and set the framework moving forwards.

This is a great long-term contract in a fantastic business with emphasis on flexibility & work-life balance, where you will be given the chance to capitalise on your existing skillset while also adding a few more strings to your bow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

It is essential you have good IFRS 15 experience, not from a reporting standpoint but from unpicking revenue and turning it in to something non financial staff can use, hence good (but not advanced) modelling skills are needed.

Your background:

  • IFRS 15 / FRS 102 exposure
  • Experience working with a Tier one contractor, or large services / infrastructure businesses
  • Good excel / modelling skills
  • Not being purely in financial reporting roles but being the bridge between that and commercial and using data in a commercial forward looking way
