Job Purpose
Cogent Skills and its Nuclear subsidiary, NSAN have won 5 bids in support of the National Nuclear Skills Plan.
This role will support the teams at both Cogent Skills and NSAN to deliver all five projects by providing effective project administration support, ensuring the implementation of effective standardised admin processes and systems. This will include the co-ordination and administration of all project meetings and employer facing industry steering groups formed and supporting the collation of reports and any evidence required, as defined by the customer.
The individual will play a pivotal role in the project, ensuring a professional approach in everything delivered. The individual will support the internal project leads across many tasks as required, to deliver all projects established to time, cost and quality, alongside realising expected benefits.
Package
- Salary starting from £31,000 - £36,000 dependent on experience
- Remote working with some travel to Warrington
- 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Key Accountabilities
- Meeting Support: Provide minute-taking and administrative support for all project meetings and employer steering groups, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up on actions within 5 days as required by the project specification.
- Project Administration: Establish, manage and implement efficient systems and processes to track, monitor, and maintain all project activity.
- Professional Service Delivery: Ensure all interactions are handled in a professional, timely, and efficient manner, consistently demonstrating the value of Cogent Skills and NSAN as an effective delivery partner.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate data and records across the projects and support the production of monthly project reports to the customer and on close out of each deliverable, raising any concerns with the Project Manager so that barriers can be overcome, risks managed, and issues resolved.
- Evaluation Activity Tracking: Coordinate the completion of evaluation activity tracking as required, ensuring information is recorded, updated, and shared appropriately.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve administrative systems and processes to enhance efficiency and the overall customer experience (both internal and external).
- Build productive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders across the sector, to drive and progress projects in accordance with plans and desired outcomes and benefits.

Communication & Engagement
- Newsletters: Support the collation of content for newsletters/communications (internal and external), ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and engaging, with the relevant “sign offs” in place.
- Events Support: Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of all project events, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for participants.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all projects.

- Delivery of project activities to time cost and quality constraints.
- Effective, accurate and timely meeting papers, minutes and activity/actions reporting.
- Positive feedback from internal project leads and key stakeholders in the industry from providing a professional, timely service in delivery of all activities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in business/project administration is required and/or entry-level project management/business management qualification,
- Customer Service: Strong customer-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver responsive, high-quality support.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent planning and organisational ability with strong attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with members and colleagues.
- Proactive Approach: Demonstrates initiative, with a positive attitude.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and other relevant software tools.
- Team Working: Ability to work effectively within a team.
