Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution?

By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Role Overview:

Citi is looking for an Operations & Innovation Senior Project Analyst to play a pivotal role at the intersection of two high-impact innovation teams — the Markets Accelerator and Digital Solutions — based in Belfast. In this position, you will support the operational and strategic goals across both functions. This is a compelling opportunity to sit at the heart of Citi's innovation agenda, driving coordination, consistency, and momentum across agile, fast-moving teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate end-to-end project logistics for the Markets Accelerator, including meeting preparation, demo scheduling, hackathon planning, and the project solicitation process, so that engineering and quantitative talent can remain focused on delivery.
  • Draft and distribute stakeholder communications on behalf of the Accelerator, keeping senior management informed of progress without drawing on engineering or quantitative resource.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent framework for measuring project success across the full lifecycle of the annual project slate, tracking outcomes and reporting on the cumulative impact of the Markets Accelerator's portfolio of work.
  • Support the full hiring and resource lifecycle for the Accelerator, including creating and maintaining requisitions for annual and rolling hiring cycles in alignment with Citi standards.
  • Own and continuously improve the operational processes that enable the Accelerator to run effectively and scale its global footprint, covering performance management, year-end cycles, budget oversight, and organisational health.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local universities to promote Citi's innovation work and attract new talent to the Belfast site.
  • Support the Digital Solutions team with product planning activities, including gathering stakeholder requirements, maintaining concise product documentation, and managing general team logistics.
  • Develop and maintain marketing and branding collateral that communicates the impact of projects across both teams, providing dedicated ownership to a function that currently lacks it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
