A leading engineering and design consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to join their team in Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the project controls function on major infrastructure and construction programmes, working within a globally recognised, award-winning project controls practice.

Responsibilities for Senior Project Controls Manager:

  • Establish and manage the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and implement Earned Value Management (EVM) systems
  • Collate and report KPIs related to time, cost, risk, change, and quality
  • Lead periodic and ad-hoc reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and robustness of monthly project review packs
  • Develop and implement change control processes, facilitating change forums and escalating decisions as needed
  • Integrate risk assessments into project controls frameworks
  • Manage and mentor a team of project controls professionals, setting objectives and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Liaise with senior leadership, clients, and supply chain partners ensuring alignment across planning, cost, and risk functions
  • Support programme management with strategic insights and interpretation of project health data

Essential Requirements for Senior Project Controls Manager:

  • Proven experience in project controls on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of cost, schedule, risk, and change management
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK construction standards
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project controls software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
