Senior Project Coordinator

This is a fixed term position with current funding until 30th April 2029, open to internal applicants only.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Senior Project Coordinator to join the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy (MCTD). This is an exciting time to join a small and driven team as the Centre enters a new phase, launching new projects and expanding into new areas of work.

MCTD is an independent team of academic researchers at the University of Cambridge working to address some of the most pressing challenges relating to the governance of the digital technology ecosystem.

MCTD is housed within the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), enabling opportunities for collaboration with business leaders, civil society and policymakers on responsible AI deployment and AI governance.

The Role

The Senior Project Coordinator is a key administrative role within the team, helping to ensure the efficient delivery of the Centre's projects. You will work independently and closely with the Centre Director and Programme Managers, maintaining a clear understanding of project timelines and budgets and playing a key role in delivering the Centre's objectives, programmes and events in support of a £3 million donation.

Your Main Duties Will Include

  • Project Coordination: Coordinate projects from planning through to delivery, monitoring progress, maintaining project information, analysing data and reporting on outcomes.
  • Project Delivery: Support the delivery of projects, events and workshops, while continually improving processes and systems.
  • Financial Administration: Manage project finances, including budgets, purchase orders, invoices and expenses, ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
  • Line Management / Supervision: Provide coaching, mentoring and supervision to junior team members, and may undertake line management responsibilities.
  • Team Support: Organise meetings, events and logistics, maintain project records, and provide administrative support to project teams and senior colleagues.
  • Marketing and Market Intelligence: Support marketing activities, maintain project communications, and undertake market research to inform business development.
  • Relations and Client Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
