Senior Project Engineer - Developments
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Developments to join our Design Services team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

What you'll do:
- Review and approve major Section 38 & 278 highway schemes, ensuring compliance with national and regional design and safety standards.
- Work closely with developers, consultants and stakeholders to secure technical approvals and legal agreements.
- Coordinate inspections with Adoption Engineers to ensure construction meets approved technical standards.
- Provide expert advice to Planning and Development Control teams on highway design, construction and adoption matters.
- Mentor and support team members, helping to develop technical skills and achieve performance goals.
- Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, elected members and the public to support successful project delivery.
- Represent the organisation at professional, business and community events, enhancing its reputation and profile.
- Deputise for the Senior Developments Manager as required.

What we're seeking:
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience in highways/civil engineering).
- Chartered, Incorporated or Engineering Technician status (or working towards professional accreditation).
- Strong ICT skills, including engineering software, CAD and data management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of highway and civil engineering design standards.
- Significant experience in residential development, civil engineering consultancy, or Section 38/278 highway schemes.
- Good understanding of health and safety, traffic management and relevant engineering legislation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with customers, stakeholders and colleagues to deliver projects.
- Experience managing projects from feasibility through to on-site construction.
- Strong customer focus with the drive to lead by example.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
