An exceptional opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong project management skillset to join a flagship project team responsible for delivering complex construction works on one of London's most iconic Grade II Listed structures.

This is a rare chance to work on a nationally significant heritage asset, supporting the delivery of a major programme of construction activity within a highly sensitive live environment. The role will focus on the planning, management and execution of a range of temporary works, enabling works, logistical packages and cut-and-carve construction activities, requiring a professional who can successfully bridge both engineering and project management disciplines.

You will play a pivotal role in coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing specialist subcontractors, driving programme certainty and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and with the utmost respect for the historic fabric of the building.

This position would suit an ambitious Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Civil Engineer or Construction Project Manager seeking a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark project that will be recognised across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of temporary works, structural modifications and logistical construction activities.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of cut-and-carve and enabling works packages, ensuring programme, quality and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design consultants, specialist subcontractors, temporary works designers and site teams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes, monitoring progress and mitigating risks where necessary.
  • Ensure all temporary works are planned, designed, coordinated and executed in accordance with statutory and project requirements.
  • Act as the key interface between engineering, operations and commercial teams.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across client, consultant and contractor organisations.
  • Oversee technical reviews, design coordination meetings and engineering workshops.
  • Monitor project risks and implement robust mitigation strategies.
  • Review engineering proposals, construction methodologies and sequencing plans.
  • Drive a proactive health, safety and environmental culture across all workstreams.
  • Ensure works comply with heritage, conservation and planning requirements.
  • Support procurement activities and manage specialist subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Champion innovation and identify opportunities to improve construction methodologies and project outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
