A senior project manager/project manager responsible for the management of a c. £50m p.a. programme of repair and maintenance work by a delivery contractor, through the full delivery lifecycle from scope definition, enabling and mobilisation, delivery and handover. Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of work across the region to meet regulatory milestones, requiring an innovative and very proactive approach and the ability to resolve problems with pace and agility. Responsible also for the commercially effective delivery of works.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supply chain and contractor leadership: Managing a contractor delivery team to drive consistent performance, standards, and behaviours across all delivery partners.
- Operational integration: Ensuring effective integration between Anglian Water operations team, construction contractor and supply chain.
- Programme delivery and performance: Responsible for programme delivery outcomes (safety, cost, schedule, quality), Ensure delivery aligns with AMP objectives, regulatory requirements and client expectations. Oversee performance and provide robust reporting, with intervention where required.
- Commercial and financial control: Responsible for financial performance across contractor delivery, ensure value for money, cost control and transparency across the supply chain. Liaison with commercial team to ensure robust and contemporary contract and commercial administration.
- Governance and assurance: Ensuring contractors operate to required standards, procedures and compliance obligations, provide oversight of risk, contingency and delivery assurance. Support the wider leadership with integration of this work into the wider maintenance portfolio, including governance, controls and operational interface management.
- Leadership and capability: Providing leadership of the work programme and team, ensuring capability, capacity and structure are in place to deliver. Drive a high-performance, safety-led culture.
- Risk and issue management: Managing risk and issues across the programme, ensuring appropriate mitigations and controls are in place.

You’ll need to have:
- Deliver safe, compliant and predictable programme outcomes (cost, schedule, quality).
- Achieve visible improvements in contractor performance and consistency.
- Drive programme certainty across delivery.
- Experience leading capital programmes/portfolios of work.
- Proven track record of working in contractor organisations or managing contractors.
- Experience of commercial and contract management.
