The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Senior Project Manager.
The Senior Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle and is responsible for delivering the scope (in line with the client contract) as per the agreed budget and schedule, whilst ensuring the target margin is realised. They are a key figure within the business; driving progress across several departments to ensure our projects are delivered in accordance with the pxFairport Integrated Management System (IMS), Project Delivery Procedures, Stage Gate requirements and applicable ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide input and support into project proposals during the bid and pre-contract stage.
- Review all project and contractual documents on assignment of contract to ensure all project and contractual requirements are understood and documented.
- Develop a Project Execution Plan to reflect pxFairport’s project management procedure and in line with client requirements.
- Establish and maintain the Project Scope Baseline including PBS, WBS, CBS and associated change control mechanisms throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with Project Engineers to define project requirements, manage technical deliverables, engineering priorities and scope control.
- Identify criteria for completion of contract and develop actionable plan for closing out contract.
- Develop and maintain project cost tracking, assign budgets for all elements of work, and approve project spend. Escalating overspends prior to commitment as required.
- Develop and monitor a project cashflow projection throughout the life of the project. Identify any negative cashflow or areas of risk and report to the business.
- Develop Percentage on Completion (POC) forecasts and manage the monthly deliverables needed to meet POC targets.
- Contribute to portfolio resource planning and workload forecasting to support business-wide project delivery objectives.

Minimum Requirements
- HND/Degree qualified in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Formal Project Management qualification (PMI, APM or equiv)
- Demonstrable experience of delivering high value (>£6M) EPC projects
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience operating within ISO-certified management systems
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects under both standard and non-standard contract terms.
