Drive Excellence Across a Portfolio of Critical Projects!

AWE is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to utilise their Project Management expertise to provide assurance of successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of complex Projects and Programmes.

This is not a traditional project delivery role. Instead, you'll act as a Project Management subject matter expert, using your extensive project delivery experience to guide, mentor and support other Project Management professionals in successfully delivering. Through undertaking assurance reviews you’ll ensure Projects and Programmes remain aligned with organisational standards whilst also agreeing corrective actions that will improve confidence in delivery to time, cost and quality.

Working within a highly regulated environment, you will play a key role in developing Project Management capability, promoting best practice and driving continuous improvement across the project community. Through coaching, constructive challenge and knowledge sharing, you will help build confidence that Projects are being managed effectively, safely and compliantly.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a highly experienced Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager who has spent many years leading complex projects and is looking to transition away from hands-on delivery. Rather than being accountable for the day-to-day management of individual projects, you will use your experience to influence outcomes through others, shaping project delivery standards, coaching Project Managers and strengthening Project Management excellence across the organisation.

RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Working Pattern:

AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.

Closing Date:

15th September 2026

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
