Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects across our operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope. Your expertise in project management tools and civil engineering software will drive efficiency and success across multiple initiatives. In detail -to take full ownership of planning, managing, and delivering complex engineering and CAPEX projects across our operations. This role demands a high level of autonomy, strategic decision-making, and leadership to drive successful project outcomes while fostering innovation and operational excellence. You will be accountable for end-to-end project execution, from concept to handover, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.

The role requires frequent travel across the UK and internationally to support various project phases, including site assessments, installations, commissioning, and project closeout activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale projects from inception to completion
  • Develop detailed project schedules using Prince 2 to track progress and deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively while mitigating risks
  • Utilize Civil 3D software for infrastructure design support and technical assessments
  • Monitor project performance through regular reporting and adjust plans proactively to stay on track
  • Foster clear communication among stakeholders, team members, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency

Qualifications/Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proven experience delivering engineering projects in industrial settings such as power generation, manufacturing, heavy process industries, or waste treatment facilities.
  • Formal training or certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
  • Strong technical background in system installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—across diverse audiences
  • Proven track record of managing contractors, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in commissioning new systems and troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
